Engagement Terms

1. Scope of Services. A written musicological analyis and opinion on musical similarity risk between your track(s) and any reference works you provide. You agree and acknowledge that my analysis, report, and any other work product represents my subjective, though considered, analysis, opinion, and conclusion, and carries with it no guarantee, indemnity, or endorsement of any kind, and that I make no promise or guarantee of results that may follow from its use. The services I provide are analytical, not legal. For legal services in any potential infringement matter, a lawyer with experience in the field should be engaged.
2. Fees & Payment. Standard (72 hr): $495 | Rush (24 hr): $990 If extensive concerns are identified, and client wishes to engage ongoing consulting, a $1,000 retainer may be required.
3. Confidentiality. All materials you submit and our work product are confidential for 5 years.
4. No Guarantee. Our opinion carries no promise you won’t face claims or litigation. For legal strategy, consult an attorney.
5. Termination. Either party may end this engagement in writing at any time. Fees and expenses incurred to that date remain payable.
6. Governing Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of California, USA.
